An unusually large William IV rosewood tea caddy, of sarcophagus form with finely inlaid mother-of-pearl medallions with stylized flowers acanthus leaves, the escutcheon plate with further similar decoration, the interior with both original rosewood compartments, with lion mask ring pulls to either side, on original solid rosewood bun-form feet, with paper label to reverse, 'Buckley, The Homestead, Copley,' English, ca. 1835. A highly architectural form measuring 13.75 inches wide.
