George Jones Majolica Stork in Marsh Pitcher, English, ca. 1878, the relief molded body of tapering cylindrical form, with storks in simulated water among bullrushes and birds to either side, with a tree and branches issuing from under the cobalt blue-glazed handle, on a turquoise ground, with faux bamboo base, the interior glazed in pink, the reverse with the George Jones majolica design number painted in reserve, '5241.' An example of this design is included in the Karmason Library of the Majolica International Society, I.D. Number: 2519, Karmason Library Number: KL002006P. For 30 years we have been among the world's preeminent specialists in fine antique majolica.
