Minton Majolica Large Christmas Wine Ewer, the body of the jug with relief molded holly branches encircling, with mistletoe, on a cobalt blue ground, the spout with a Bacchus mask, the handle formed as entwined twigs, impressed marks to reverse: British Registry Mark for 16 January 1863 and 'MINTON' with Minton date cipher for 1868. This design is included in the Karmason Library of the Majolica International Society, I.D. Number: 1222, KL Number: KL002176. For 30 years we have been among the world's preeminent specialists in fine antique majolica.
