Flame mahogany Empire commode with gilt bronze Swan escutcheons and swan-form pulls, with a frieze drawer, over three long drawers, over a 'hidden' drawer, on original bun feet, French, circa 1850. The commode/chest is in excellent antique condition; the marble top has been restored (see photos), but does not draw notice; it is amplified in the photo to show this restoration; it is completely stabile and requires no further attention.
