WHAT SETS US APART

WHO WE ARE

For nearly 30 years, Gilded Age Antiques has directly imported containers filled with the finest treasures from Europe. Specializing in English and European antique furniture, paintings, porcelain, and decorations spanning the 18th and 19th centuries, our journey began with a passion for preserving history's finest craftsmanship. Alongside this dedication, we fostered a deep admiration for the Art Deco and French Moderne movements, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity.

From the outset, our commitment to excellence led us to become among the world’s preeminent specialists in fine, antique majolica. But our story doesn't end there. Several years ago, we embarked on an exciting expansion, venturing into the realm of Mid-Century Modern design. Focusing on iconic pieces crafted by celebrated British, French, and Italian designers, we broadened our horizons while maintaining our unwavering standard of quality.

In 2019, we took another bold step forward, introducing rare vintage handbags and accessories to our collection. This marked a pivotal moment for Gilded Age Antiques, as we delved into luxury fashion, curating exclusive selections from illustrious designers like Hermès, Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

Complementing our fine home antiques, you'll find the Gilded Edition, a boutique gift shop within our store featuring items crafted by artisans, craftspeople, and cooperatives carefully chosen to reflect ethical, inclusive, and conscientious business practices. Guided by our acquisitions policy, every single piece we offer possesses high-quality, ingenious, and aesthetically pleasing design.

Nestled within the Blue Ridge of Western North Carolina, in the shadow of Grandfather Mountain, the oldest rock formation in the world, lies Gilded Age in Banner Elk, NC. Come experience the magic of our store today!
