Majolica Game Pie Tureen, the base molded as a yellow-glazed woven basket with applied branch handles terminating with oak leaves and acorns, the mound-form cover with ferns and leaves, surmounted by a single grouse chick forming the finial, the interior glazed in turquoise, the reverse with impressed marks: 'T.C. BROWN-WESTHEAD, MOORE & CO,' and the design number, '1223,' with painted design number '1223' repeated on the undersides of both the cover and tureen.
