Originally introduced in 1958, the Trim bag design pays homage to the brand’s long-running equestrian roots, drawing inspiration from a container utilized for the storage of horse feed during the carriage-drawn era. This 1991 edition of the Trim bag was handcrafted in France from one of Hermès’ original signature leathers, Courchevel (male calf) leather, in the classic gold coloration with white contrast stitching and matching brushed gold hardware. Courchevel leather was officially retired in 2004 and replaced with “Epsom” leather, but it differs in its slight sheen and glossy finish that is scratch-resistant and easy to clean.
This transitional piece can be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody with the full-length 19" strap drop. This Trim bag is the smallest design model (Micro) and has a date stamp of “U” in a circle, indicating the year made (1991). It opens to a small Courchevel-lined interior with enough room for identification and lip gloss. Comes with certificate of authenticity, box, and removable strap.In good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age and wear.
