The "Grand Uniforme", is an iconic Hermès design and references the French military full dress uniform during the Napoleonic era. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely popular and highly sought after design was made by renowned artist Joachim Metz in 2985, who was responsible for many iconic designs such as "Les Singles", "Europe" and "1789". This particular scarf is a 2000 re-issue and comes in a classic olive green with gold and natural uniforme coloration. Scarf is in great vintage condition with and plump hand rolled edges.
