"Brides de Gala", or French for "Gala Brides" depicts the classic Hermès equestrian design with ceremonial horse bridles facing each other and is one of Hermès' most recognizable designs to date. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish, with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely popular and highly sought after design was made by the iconic Hermès artist, Hugo Grygkar who was responsible for many iconic designs such as "Ex-libris" and "Harnais français". Originally issued in 1957, "Brides de Gala" was a collaboration design with Hermès CEO Robert Dumas, who placed two bridles on the ground from Émile Hermès' personal collection, creating a forever classic etched in time. The Brides de Gala is a nod to the maison's origin story as a saddler and has been re-created over the past 70 years in a wide range of sizes, colors and various patterns, as seen in this dip dye vibrant orange coloration.
