George Jones Majolica Strawberry Server, ca. 1870, the trefoil dish naturalistically modelled with blossoming strawberry plants and ferns on a turquoise and rustic ground, surmounted with a life-size thrush perched on simulated branches between two molded bird nests forming the cream and sugar holders; the reverse with impressed British Registry Diamond for 5 March 1870; with removable cream jug and sugar bowl, each glazed with tortoiseshell mottling, trimmed in yellow, the interiors glazed in turquoise; the serving ladle formed as overlapping green-glazed strawberry leaves banded with a turquoise ribbon.

This design is documented in the Karmason Library of the Majolica International Society, Number KL001954P with the designation 'Rare.'
