This iconic piece of Louis Vuitton history was first introduced in the the early 1900's as an accessory pouch to accompany the largely popular Louis Vuitton "Noe" or "Bucket" bag models. As the early 20th century progressed, so did women's needs for a more modern day accessory that would easily transition from day to night. From this concept, the Louis Vuitton "pochette" was born and has transitioned in style and function over the years. This particular pochette variant, the Marley dragonne, is a fully functional piece that can be worn as clutch or a wristlet with plenty of storage for one's most necessary items. This dragonne comes in monogramed canvas with a rich brown taiga leather interior, vachetta piping detail and monogramed wristlet handle. Brass zipper pulls with embossed Louis Vuitton "LV" logo, heat stamp "Louis Vuitton Paris - made in france" located to inside with "873 TH" date code of March, 1987. Condition: GRADE - 2.5. Light patination to vachetta piping and corners and slight warp of zipper due to age. Internal taiga leather shows small scratches and hardware shows signs of wear. In overall good vintage condition. Comes with certificate of authenticity and silk dust bag.
