Louis Vuitton Monogram Keepall 50 Bandouliere Duffle Bag, France 1984. This iconic keepall was first introduced in the 1930's by Gaston Vuitton as the city "weekender bag", an alternative to the original and larger "Sac de Nuit" travel bag. The keepall is also notably one of the longest running bags in production in the Louis Vuitton family, making it a timeless and classic bag that will last a lifetime. This particular Keepall is an early edition from 1984 produced in France to the highest luxury standards. Keepall comes in the classic monogramed canvas with a rich brown interior, vachetta piping, dual rolled top handles, detachable strap with luggage tag and adjustable top handle strap holder. Double brass zipper pulls with embossed Louis Vuitton "LV" logo and heat stamp of "50" for the size of the bag located to underside of D side toggle. Date code of "VI884" indicating France, 1984 for production year located to interior vachetta tab. In good, gently used condition with signs consistent with age and use. Interior to bag has small spots but do not compromise quality of bag. Detachable strap is in good condition with some discoloration to where adjustable shoulder strap sits.
