The Louis Vuitton Alma is a classic closet staple, first introduced and inspired by the architect of the Art Deco era of the early 1930's. Originally designed by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the bag was originally named “Champs-Elysées” after the famous street in Paris but later renamed "Alma" after “Place de l’Alma”, where Avenue Montaigne meets the River Seine. This Alma comes in the "Mimosa" coloration in the most popular "PM" or middle size version of the classic Louis Vuitton bag. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, this bag is made of Louis Vuitton's most durable epi leather canvas with double rolled structured leather vachetta handles and brushed gold coated brass hardware with double zip closure embossed with "LV" zipper pulls. Interior of bag opens to a vibrant purple alcantara lining with one large slip and plenty of room to house all of your essentials. Date code tag of "AR1916" for France, November 1996. In good condition with signs consistent with age and use. Majority of wear is concentrated to hardware where oxidation and tarnishing has occurred as well as some scratches throughout exterior.
