This incredibly rare and highly sought after Limited Edition Steamer MM Bag was produced during the Fall of 2015 and combines the luxury of exotic alligator skin with the sleekness of the classic tote steamer shape. This piece of Louis Vuitton history originally retailed for $55,500 and is considered to be the most expensive bag ever produced by Louis Vuitton rivaling with the quality and likes of the prestigious Hermès Birkin Bag. Additionally, this particular steamer bag was one of the original extremely limited released quantities which debuted in this specific matte vanilla coloration with adorning gold plated hardware that is no longer in production by Louis Vuitton. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards from premium "Alligator Mississippian" (American Alligator), Louis Vuitton artisans hand make each steamer bag over a grueling three week long process to insure top quality standards that the fashion house has been known for since 1854. Much attention during this phase is concentrated to crafting each piece from one single alligator skin in the placement to the front and sides of bag including down to the detail in the double rolled top handles and additional shoulder strap. Interior of bag opens to a single large matching matte vanilla goat skin lined interior with two slip pockets, one large back zipped compartment and front facing slip that is secured by original turn lock and key closure. Bag hardware still retains most of the plastic and also comes complete with copy of CITES license/certificate for seamless travel abroad, removable luggage tag, leather care card, padlock, keys and a small lock dust bag. Currently, there are no available models of this specific bag/coloration available for sale anywhere. In great, almost unused condition with the only signs of use are from storage of bag.
