Hermès "Royal Mews" Silk Scarf by Françoise De La Perriere, 1993. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely rare and highly sought after piece was made by famous French Hermès artist, Jean de Fougerolle and was exclusively designed for the "Year of the Horse" (1993) and presented to H.M The Queen of England. Upon it's first year of release, this design was only available in Britain before it's worldwide release the year after in 1994. This incredibly rare and highly sought after design was dedicated and designed after the "Royal Mews", a compound of houses that have existed at Buckingham Palace since the Early 19th Century. Over the years these houses have transitioned from the royal stable houses to the royal garage and pays homage to five of the iconic coaches used by the Royal Family. These five coaches include the "Gold Stage Coach" which was constructed in 1761 for King George I, "Queen Alexandra’s State Coach" built in 1885, the "Irish State Coach", "The Barouche" and "The 1902 State Landau". This scarf is an original issue 1993 and is in good vintage condition with light use shown throughout and plump hand rolled edges.

Condition: GRADE: 2. Great pre-owned condition with only slight signs of use throughout but very limited. Extremely tiny stain at the edge of the design. Edges are very plump.
