Hermès "Africa" Silk Twill Scarf by Robert Dallet, circa 1997 - 1998. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely popular and highly sought after design was made by naturalist artist, Robert Dallet who was responsible for many iconic designs such as "Jungle Love" and "Equateur". Originally issued in 1997 - 1998, the design of the "Africa" scarf was inspired by Dallets' love and dedication for big cats and was included in his "Year of Africa" Fall/Winter collection for Hermès. Dallets rich and prominent impact on the Hermès brand makes his works amongst the most collectible next to other famous artists like Kermit Oliver.
