Hermès "Parures Des Sables" 90cm Silk Scarf by Laurence Bourthoumieux, 2004. "Parures Des Sables", or French for "Sand Ornaments" depicts a brilliant array of jewelry in vibrant red and gold on a royal blue background with tasseled navy border. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This rare and highly sought after design was originally issued in 1988, by Laurence Bourthoumieux and re-issued throughout the years due to it's popularity until it's last re-issue year of 2004. Bourthoumieux who was responsible for many iconic designs such as "La Vie a Cheval" and "Le Jardin des Coptes" has become one of the most highly collectible Hermès artists of the 21st Century.
