George Jones Majolica elevated comport, with a central green glazed horse chestnut leaf on a relief- molded white napkin, the border glazed in ochre, the pedestal wrapped with an ochre tassel, with horse chestnut leaves and blossoms, English, circa 1870. Marks to reverse: George Jones Cartouche Pad with painted pattern number, '1804,' which corresponds to the entry 'Leaf Dessert Elevated Comport' in the George Jones Majolica Pattern Numbers Books preserved in the Wedgwood Archives of the Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, England and reprinted in V.
