Dianna, The Huntress, visited him nightly. The tapestry almost certainly belongs to a Gobelin set that was executed privately by one of the Gobelin weavers. The first records mentioning the series are the correspondences between the 5th Earl of Exeter with his steward and upholsterer for the Burghley House, Lincolnshire, discussing the purchase of made to order tapestries of this design from Jean Jans in 1660 and 1661 Cleaned and conserved by world-renowned expert textile conservator, Sheila Lani, at Burghley House, Lincolnshire.
