Extremely rare Vintage Les Must De Cartier Suede Leather Boston Travel Handbag, circa 1975. In 1973 in order to revamp the Cartier brand, "Les Must De Cartier" or "Must have Cartier" became the brain child of designers Robert Hocq and Alain-Dominique Perrin for the must have essentials of the brand. This incredible work of art bag by the iconic fashion house was one of the first travel bags coined under the new name as one of the must haves essentials of the Cartier line. Handcrafted in Paris, France from premium suede leather in a deep maroon or "cognac" color, this Boston bag is adorned with brass hardware, lined with a matching maroon grosgrain fabric and comes with original cadenas in clochette as well as original box. Cartier interlocking C's on either side of bag hand stitched onto leather applique. In great vintage used condition, with signs of wear to bag from straps being in the downright position in storage.
