Louis Vuitton Taurillon Leather Tri-Color City Steamer Mini Bag, France 2018. This steamer bag is a classic Louis Vuitton closet staple which was first introduced and designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for cruise-ship passengers in 1901. Since its inception, the Steamer bag can be found in a host of colors, fabrics and finishes making it a heirloom quality piece that will continue to stand the test of time. This Limited Edition Steamer Mini Bag was produced during the Fall of 2018 in France and combines a tri-coloration of a very light blue (almost white), charcoal and black. This particular steamer bag was one of the original limited released quantities which debuted in this specific coloration with adorning gold plated hardware that is no longer in production by Louis Vuitton. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards from premium calf leather, Louis Vuitton artisans hand make each steamer bag over a grueling three week long process to insure top quality standards that the fashion house has been known for since 1854. Much attention during this phase is concentrated to crafting each piece from the same leather in the placement to the front and sides of bag including down to the detail in the double rolled top handles and additional shoulder strap. Interior of bag opens to a single large matching charcoal and black interior with two slip pockets, one large back zipped compartment and front facing slip that is secured by original turn lock and key closure. Bag hardware still retains some plastic and also comes complete with crossbody strap. Currently, there are no available models of this specific bag/coloration available for sale. Condition: GRADE - 1.5. In great, almost unused condition with signs of use extremely limited. Majority of wear to bag is of the slightest bend or warp due to storage of bag. Leather lined interior shows some creasing to base also due to storage. Some hardware does retain original plastic with only parts of exposed hardware showing light to minimal scratching.
