After decades of success for the iconic fashion house, the 1980's sought a new modern approach for the Chanel brand in which designer Karl Lagerfeld was added as creative director. As style transitioned during the 80's, so did the need for convenience, accessibility and style. The fanny pack rose in popularity due to the increase of tourism in metropolitan cities like New York and Japan and became the the new go-to accessory. Karl Lagerfeld was quick to jump on board with the trend and introduced the celebrated Chanel fanny pack in 1984. This particular fanny pack comes in a supple quilted black lambskin leather with 24-KT gold plated "CC" mademoiselle chain and zipper pull. Interior of bag houses a black coated lambskin leather with plenty of storage for all of your on the go needs and adjustable waist strap sized at 26". This bag is in good pre-owned condition, with wear consistent with age and use to the overall bag with slight creasing of lambskin due to storage, small marks and fading to interior. Serial number not present due to production date of pre-1986.

Embossed "Chanel" shows slight fading and no serial code present. Majority of wear is shown in interior of bag where small spots of residue are present at base and light fading due to age. Comes with original Chanel dust bag that also shows signs of wear due to age.
