On a flight from Paris to London, Birkins' tote bag fell from the overhead causing much frustration on her part that Dumas took notice to. By the end of the flight, the two had brainstormed on a flight sickness bag the perfect accessory for the modern day woman, to what we now know as the holy grail of handbags, the Birkin. Since it's creation, the Birkin has gained world recognition for its exclusivity and most recently became the number one collectible investment for 2020. Each Birkin is done entirely by hand by a highly skilled and trained Hermés craftsman over the course of an 18 hour period and is offered in a wide variety of colors and skins, creating the ultimate symbol of luxury, quality and sophistication. This extremely rare and highly sought after special edition "Candy" Birkin was handcrafted in France from bi-color epsom leather in Tosca and Rose Tyrien coloration with rose tyrien lined interior and decorated with palladium plated hardware. Adorned with "Hermés Paris" and "Made in France" embossment and blind stamped with a "D" in square, indicating the year made (2011) with corresponding "Omega" sign and craftsman numeration.
