Hermès Limited Edition Ebene Evercalf & Troika Ponyhair Bolide Bag 35cm with Gold Hardware, 2007. Originally introduced in the Early 20th Century, the "sac pour l'auto" or what we know now as the "Bolide" or "racing car" bag, came into production due to the rise of the automobile. Made with mobility in mind, the Bolide was Hermés first zippered bag and simultaneously offered style, elegance and accessibility for the everyday traveler. In 1982, the Bolide debuted as a handbag and was expanded into an assortment of colors, leathers and finishes whilst still drawing inspiration from the original design. This particular limited edition bi-color Bolide was handcrafted in France from premium evercalf leather in ebene, Hermes' darkest brown and extremely rare, luxurious "troika" ponyhair with adorning gold plated hardware. This transitional piece can worn from day to night as it can be used as a top handle, shoulder or even cross body bag. This Bolide has a date stamp of “K” in square, indicating the year made (2007), and also has a small "U.60" craftsman stamp symbolizing the section of the atelier where the bag was constructed. Comes with certificate of authenticity, removable shoulder strap, shoulder strap dust bag, clochette, lock, two keys and overall dust bag. In great pre-owned condition with light wear shown throughout bag. Majority of wear is concentrated to the inside of bag and loss of hair to bottom corners.

Condition: GRADE: 3. Great pre-owned condition with small press marks to front side of bag, loss of hair to all four resting corners and very minimal scuffing to exposed gold hardware. Majority of wear is to bottom interior of bag with few scratches and press marks to evercalf. Plastic is still in tact on lock and strap hardware. Bag has recently been cleaned and detailed.
