Hermès Limited Edition Vintage Tri-Color Vert Fonce, Rouge H & Indigo Box Calf Kelly Handbag with Gold Hardware 32, 1991. Originally introduced in the early 1930's as the Sac à dépêches bag, the Kelly became world renowned after Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco appeared on the cover of Life magazine, shielding her baby bump from the paparazzi with a Kelly. Over the years, the Kelly became a classic closet staple, with over 24 hours of hand craftsmanship into each bag made in a variety of colors, leathers and finishes.

During the early 1990's Hermès began exploring the idea of mixing different leathers and colors and released a limited edition run of the Kelly and Birkin in it's most iconic colorations. This exceptionally rare and sought after limited edition Kelly was hand crafted in France from premium chevre and box calf leathers in Vert Fonce, Indigo and the iconic and highly collectible "Rouge Hermès" or Rouge H. Sellier rigid structure is adorned with 18K gold plated hardware and comes complete with crossbody strap in indigo coloration. This Kelly also has a date stamp of “U” in square for the year made (1993) and also has a small "X" and "N" stamp that indicates the section of the Paris atelier where the bag was constructed. The matching detachable strap allows plenty of versatility for the bag to be worn as a top handle, shoulder or crossbody. Also comes with the tirette, clochette, and original strap in great vintage condition with light wear to box calf and light scratching throughout box calf, small imprints to bottom of bag and some wear to Chevre interior. Condition: GRADE: 3. Great vintage pre-owned condition. Box calf exterior has light scratching to front side of bag and top flap closure. Very light scratches to hardware on front closure and hardware with majority of wear to feet and base with light scratches and press marks to bottom side. Overall interior is in excellent condition with pen mark to underside a flap with light scratching. Corners show wear and slight loss of color. Straps is in excellent condition. Overall structure in excellent shape.
