"Mexique" is inspired by the culture and heritage of the Mayans, specifically the ancient God of Tulum who is the centerpiece of the design. In addition, the bright coloration of this pattern focuses on the jewelry and sculpture focusing on gemstones such as turquoise and jade. Handcrafted in France to the highest luxury standards, Hermès scarves are true wearable pieces of art that take 18 months to create from start to finish with over 750 artisan hours into each scarf design. This extremely popular and highly sought after design was made by famous Hermès artist, Cathy Latham who was responsible for many iconic designs such as "Les Cles" and "Ferronnerie".
